Meet: Cooper Peterson – KMS High School

Hey everyone! My name is Cooper Peterson, and I’m a junior at KMS High School. I’m incredibly excited to be part of this year’s West Central Minnesota CEO class. To me, this program is more than just a course—it’s an opportunity to challenge myself, grow as a leader, and build the mindset I’ll carry into the rest of my life.

I’ve always been the kind of person who asks “why?” or “what if?”. I love solving problems, thinking creatively, and turning small ideas into something bigger. Whether I was selling snacks, organizing group projects, or jotting down random business ideas in my notes app, I’ve always had that entrepreneurial spark—even before I knew what to call it.

I joined the CEO program to learn what it really takes to lead—not just dream big, but execute, collaborate, and grow through both success and failure. I want to understand how to build something meaningful and how to work effectively with others.

Outside of class, I stay busy with football, basketball, track, musical, and BPA, all of which have shaped the way I think about discipline, teamwork, and creativity.

I’m here to learn, to fail forward, to take on challenges, and to see where this journey leads. I’m ready for an incredible year! 🚀
