West Central MN CEO is proud to highlight alumni Cayden De Berg and the lasting impact the program has had on his journey.
“Through the CEO program, I was introduced to a number of local businesses, and more importantly, employers, which could prove helpful in securing a job if I chose to return to this area after college.”
Those connections matter. CEO doesn’t just teach business concepts — it builds real relationships with mentors and employers who are invested in the next generation.
Cayden also shares one of the biggest lessons he learned:
“No one is ever born with the ability to be comfortable and confident in front of business leaders… The only way to become confident and comfortable in these situations is to go out and do it again and again, until it becomes normal. This is what the CEO program does — it forces you to get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
That growth mindset — building confidence, communication, and professionalism — is what sets CEO students apart. Today’s employers value soft skills like dependability, eye contact, and the ability to communicate effectively, and CEO gives students a head start in developing them.
