About Me

Mackenna Hinderks is a senior at Renville County West High School who is hardworking, outgoing, and always looking for opportunities to grow. She enjoys meeting new people, learning about their experiences, and challenging herself to step outside of her comfort zone.

Outside of school, Mackenna stays busy as a three-sport athlete, competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Through athletics, she has developed strong skills in discipline, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. She is also passionate about photography and has built her own photography business, where she enjoys capturing seniors, families, couples, and sports. Her faith is another important part of her life; Mackenna started her school’s first Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), providing students with an opportunity to come together, grow in their faith, and encourage one another.

Some of Mackenna’s greatest strengths are her work ethic, determination, and ability to connect with others. When she sets a goal, she is willing to put in the time and effort necessary to achieve it. She enjoys collaborating with others and learning from people with different experiences and perspectives. Her teachers, coaches, and friends would describe her as dependable, driven, and willing to step up when something needs to be done.

After high school, Mackenna plans to attend Concordia College, where she will continue her education while competing in college athletics. She is interested in learning more about business and entrepreneurship and hopes to continue growing her photography business. Through the CEO program, she hopes to learn from local business owners and community leaders, gain a better understanding of what it takes to build a successful career or business, and become more confident in communication and networking.

Mackenna is excited to meet new people through the CEO program, learn from their experiences, and hear the stories behind the businesses and careers that make up her community.
